Template to use in developing an ICT plan that aligns with and supports your organisational objectives.

The basic requirement to ensure effective use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and digital proficiency will be to engage in ICT planning, including regular review of that process.

The ICT Plan Template has been designed to assist small to medium size not-for-profit organisations to develop an ICT plan to improve their effectiveness and efficiency so that they can better deliver their goals and objectives.

The template comprises eight sections

1. Governance outlines accountability structures within the organisation.
2. The Operational management documents the role of the CEO or organisationalleader and his or her management team in relation to the ICT Plan.
3. ICT committees list the governance and staff ICT committees and their respective memberships.
4. The Current position contains a 'snap-shot' of the organisation's activities, stakeholders and staff.
5. Current and proposed agency initiative details are recorded in the Alignment section
6. The Frameworks, methodologies and policies provides a list of matters that assist the implementation of programs and projects supporting the strategies.
7. Present ICT infrastructure lists technology systems and business solutions that drive the organisation.
8. ICT expenditure details the annual expenditure on the whole of the organisation's ICT Plan.

A built-in help facility indicated by red tags in the corner of the worksheetcells provides definitions and explanations of what information is to be recorded in that cell. Organisations are also referred to the iTaNGO website to access ICT planning resources.
